A TIME TO SHINE
We host two major performances per year,
with a number of smaller performance
opportunities throughout the year.
MID YEAR PRODUCTION "Let's Rock"
Let's Rock is our incredible mid-year concert.
This production has a more relaxed feel and invites the students out into the audience where they can mingle with family and friends.
This is a fantastic introductory style performance for newcomers due to its supportive environment.
This performance takes place in June or July each year.
Our performers don't hide behind heavy make-up,
fake tans or over the top costumes.
You won't find crop tops or
booty shorts here either.
END OF YEAR PRODUCTION
This concert focuses on a social justice theme (past themes include bravery, attitude and gratitude).
Here the learning changes and graduates past the concept of performing routines, to understanding how we can convey a story through theatre, make a statement or send a message.
We discuss the theme in detail with students and the outcome of the discussions are woven into the performance piece. The focus moves from performance to artistry.
The end of year concert is a culmination of the creative work students undertake in weekly classes and always has a heart felt message that has a strong impact on both the students and the audience.
“Watching my daughters perform with Rockit, brings happy tears to my eyes, every time I have the pleasure of watching them. Working as a team, learning new skills, making new friends and following instructions – all with a smile on their face. Certainly one of the most proud parent moments ever! The caring environment that Noni and her teachers at Rockit provide and the successful organisation that goes into the concerts, make’s it enjoyable for all family members and the children to support and watch each other perform. It’s a Rockit Family – not just a performing arts school and it’s been the most positive activity I’ve ever taken my children too – thankyou Rockit”

Our studio is not focused on competitions.
However, students attending private lessons are welcome to compete in local and interstate competitions.
Our advanced performance teams may also enter local competitions.
To date our competitors have qualified for and won national titles.
Twice per year we open our doors to the public inviting friends and family into the studio.
Here we demonstrate our weekly classes and perform routines.
This is a wonderful, yet casual way, for students to be introduced to performances.
From time to time our students are invited to perform at local community events.
This is an exciting opportunity for our students to get out into the local area and show community pride.
