THE ROCKIT ACADEMY
The most exciting holiday program in the Adelaide Hills.
The Rockit Academy is five days of singing, dancing and acting where young people have the chance to shake off holiday boredom, make new friends, get active and make their mark in this world.
The Rockit Academy is open to all students (including those not currently enrolled at Rockit).
Rockit Academy students will learn new skills in acting, singing and dancing, build self-confidence as they try new things and work as a team to put together a professional production!!
WORKSHOP HOURS ARE 9am to 3:30pm Mon -Thurs, and 9am to 5:30pm Fri
FREE BEFORE AND AFTER HOURS CARE 8:30 Drop Off, 5:30pm Collection
AGES 5 to 13 years.
Let the performer within shine!
During the Rockit Academy students will:
- Learn song and dance routines from famous musicals.
- Learn songs from leading pop stars.
- Study dance styles including hip hop, breakdance, Broadway and tap.
- Learn new singing and vocal techniques for voice projection and pitch.
- Help create the set and props for the performance.
- Have the opportunity to choreograph your own steps in the routines.
- Build confidence through drama games and challenges.
- Make new friends and socialise with those you truly want to spend your holiday time with (bring your buddy
to the program)
- Each student will receive a free Rockit Academy T-shirt.
Singing Solo Auditions: Students can audition for a singing solo in the performance.
The week concludes with a performance for friends and family on Friday at 5:30pm.
