Senior Rockit (Ages 12-18 years)

Growing confident, happy kids through dance

Senior Rockit is where young people aged 12–18 deepen their technique, discover their artistic voice and build real‑world skills that support school, SACE and life beyond graduation.

Across our intermediate and senior programs, students can choose to dance purely for joy or step into advanced and academic pathways such as SACE Dance, VET and performance streams.

The next step...

At Senior Rockit we understand that teenagers are balancing school, social lives, part-time work and growing independence. Our classes are designed to challenge, inspire and support students while still keeping dance a positive and motivating space.

In every senior class you’ll see:
A structured but dynamic class format that builds technique, strength and performance quality.
Longer combinations and focused training blocks to develop stamina, memory and discipline.
Clear demonstrations with layered progressions for different ability levels.
Constructive, respectful feedback that encourages growth without intimidation.
A supportive environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their training.

We also focus on life-ready skills that extend beyond the studio: resilience, time management, self-discipline, teamwork, goal setting and confidence in self-expression.

Progress you can see

We believe in developing well-rounded dancers, while still delivering clear, measurable progress.

By the end of a typical year, many senior students will:
Demonstrate improved strength, flexibility and technical control across their chosen styles.
Retain and perform complex choreography with confidence and precision.
Apply corrections independently and show noticeable growth in performance quality.
Develop artistry through dynamics, musicality and emotional expression.
Work collaboratively in group pieces while also building individual performance presence.

Across the year we provide:
Performance opportunities through studio showcases and major productions.
Ongoing feedback from teachers to support individual progress and goal setting.

Flexible ways to start

We know committing as a teenager (and as a family) needs to feel worthwhile and manageable.

For new 15–18 year olds we offer:
Senior Starter Pack – 4 Week Trial (cost of 4 lessons)
Try one class per week for 4 weeks in your chosen style.
No enrolment fee during the starter pack.
If you enjoy it, you can continue into the semester with remaining fees adjusted.

Our standard senior fees are:
From approximately $21+ per week depending on number of classes (billed per semester).
Multi-class discounts available for students training more frequently.
Easy fortnightly payment plans to spread costs across the term.

We accept Sports Vouchers for eligible students (up to Year 9), which may apply to younger seniors where relevant.

Pathways for senior students

At Rockit, senior dancers can shape their own pathway based on their goals:

Recreational: 1–2 classes per week, focused on fitness, enjoyment and social connection.

Development/Advanced: Multiple classes per week with a focus on improving technique and performance.

Performance and extension opportunities: For students seeking more challenge, including advanced classes, performance work and potential leadership opportunities within the studio.

Whether students are dancing for fun, fitness or future pathways, they are supported to grow at their own pace in a positive environment.
